Description
A fantastic opportunity has just arisen! A leader in digital financial and payments services is looking for an analytical-minded Corporate Banking Manager to prospect for new business whilst retain and expand existing customer relationships. Reporting to the COO you will be managing relationships with all corporate banking customers.
The role will include approving accounts within assigned limits, managing customer portfolio profitability, sourcing prospects and developing new customer relationships, providing financial advice to customers, selling appropriate bank products and services to those prospects and clients, and making appropriate referrals.
What is expected of you?
Retaining and expanding relationships with existing customers
Prospecting for and closes new business relationships
Growing net revenue year-over-year
Developing and implementing an effective calling program for existing customers
Developing and implementing a plan for sourcing prospects and developing new customer relationships
Managing assigned customer relationships and bringing in appropriate specialists as needed
Resolving customer problems and acting as a liaison with other departments, divisions and subsidiaries in managing the customer’s relationship with the bank
Managing overall customer and portfolio profitability
Providing financial counselling, related to commercial banking, to customers
Approving loans within assigned limits
Identifying bank products and services to satisfying customer needs
Keeping current on commercial lending policies, products and services
Maintaining assigned portfolio at its current size or shrinking the customer base when the company’s strategy is to exit a particular business
Active ensuring compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures
Active participating in any required corporate and business line training in these areas
Following account opening procedures, nderstanding and following internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position
Active working with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position
Skills
What are you expected to bring?
Commercial lending experience
Relevant degree in Business or related field
Strong relationship management and business development abilities
Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
Strong sales skills, and an extensive knowledge of credit and credit quality
Broad knowledge of bank products and services
Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships
Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills
