Bank Outpatient Nurse Job In Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom

The Outpatients department offers range and diversity, due to the varied specialties that are covered. No two days will be the same, as you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of Consultants across different specialties. Learning is continued and support will be given to aid you in your own professional development. 
The successful applicant must be available to work evenings and Saturdays to support our busy clinics. 

Duties and Responsibilities Run nurse led dressing and phlebotomy clinics and assist in pre-operative investigations Carry out any other duties delegated by the OPD Manager / team leader for the proper and efficient care of the patient's and the smooth running of the department Chaperone and assist Consultants during examination of the patient's and minor surgical procedures and assists in arranging investigations requested by Consultants Liaising with patients, consultants and other members of the multidisciplinary team Complete Outpatient documentation to a high standard including care pathways for minor operations and procedures To ensure that standards of patient care are consistently maintained at all times in accordance with agreed operational policies and procedures as a skilled member of the nursing team, ensuring a clean and safe environment. To promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all patients, employees and visitors. To assist Senior Staff in their management of clinical departments and to provide effective leadership and management in their absence 

Who we are looking for 
You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and essentially have a high standard of acute clinical experience within a hospital setting. Previous experience within an outpatient department is desirable along with phlebotomy skills.
