Coordinator, Marketing and Promotions, Prevention and Safety

The Canadian Red Cross Society, a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping Canadians as well as the most vulnerable throughout the world, is seeking a Coordinator, Marketing and Promotions in the Prevention and Safety department. Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Business Development, this positon is responsible for the development of marketing campaigns, marketing collateral, promotional tools and web-based marketing interfaces for Prevention and Safety programs.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and executes marketing and public education campaigns for Prevention and Safety, based on strategy from annual program marketing plans
  • Writes, copyedits and oversees translation/verification of campaign and marketing tools
  • Accountable for executing specific campaign tools and promoting campaigns through various channels.
  • Secures support of sponsors for each campaign as necessary and ensures sponsor recognition
  • Coordinates the development of marketing tools to support Training Partner Development for Prevention and Safety
  • Leads the creation of promotional tools for department events (e.g. Training Partner conferences)
  • Conducts research and summarizes feedback on product and program offerings with stakeholders (e.g. Training Partners, Instructors, Staff)
  • Builds and maintains partnerships with program teams, Public Affairs, Digital Marketing, and external designers and vendors, as applicable, to ensure the success of public education campaigns and the development of marketing tools

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
The minimum qualifications for this position are a university degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field and three (3) to six (6) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Abilities and Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be creative
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • First Aid Certification or willingness to take training
  • Valid provincial Class 5 driver’s licence

Assets:
  • Fluency in French (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of Red Cross programs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

Working Conditions
  • 35-hour work week that may include some evenings and weekends

This position requires a successful Canadian criminal record check
