About
Teaching English as a Secondary Language to students of any age group.
After graduating and completing my Post Graduate Certificate in Education, I worked as a teacher librarian at Scottburgh Primary School from 2005 to 2009, being responsible for the school's Media Centre and computer network..
From 2009 to 2011, I taught at Kingsway High School, first English and later Computer Aided Technology and Information Technology. I was responsible for maintaining the computer labs as well as teaching.
I came to Japan as a JET Programme ALT in July 2011. I was placed in Sendai. From July 2011 to July 2013, I taught English at Sendai High School, where I was responsible for developing and delivering the English curriculum via Team Teaching with Japanese Teachers of English.
From July 2013 to July 2015, I taught at Moniwadai Junior High School. I also visited Moniwadai Elementary School.
From July 2015 to July 2017, I taught at Sendai Taishi High School, again developing the curriculum.
From July 2017 until the present, I have been teaching at Hirose JHS. In 2016, after completing the maximum of 5 years on the JET Programme, I was privately hired by the Sendai Board of Education as a Hello World ALT.
I was hired again in 2017.
