Description
Do you wish to be of part of a leading FMCG that is a subsidiary of a large group? Can you influence and persuade others? Then this could be for you, we are looking for a Credit Control Manager that can ensure that the Company’s cash flow and results are maximised through the effective implementation of a credit control.
What is expected of you?
Ensure credit application and modification forms are being compiled accurately
Identify the credit worthiness of clients
Investigate credit history, references with other suppliers
Populate and update customer credit data on Renaissance
Compile customer info databases e.g. electoral register and checking accounts
Recommend changes or improvements to DBU board on the Company credit policy
Organise meetings with sales and trade marketing departments to inform of delinquent accounts
Receive cheques, cash from customers or debtors
Enter and update receipts into Renaissance
Allocate payments against outstanding transactions
Update collection information and inform clients, by telephone or in writing, of due and overdue payments
Monitor daily orders from a credit perspective
Inform salesman of balance to collect
Resolve credit disputes or claims with clients
Monitor discounts and grants to set off against client accounts
Recommend modification of credit terms resolve an issue with a client or to hold further supplies
Negotiate repayment agreements where a client has defaulted
Initiate legal action for recovery of monies due and liaison with legal office

Skills
Minimum of 3 to 5 years working experience within a credit control department
Strong leadership and communication skills
