3 Year contract (renewable).
Single contract for unmarried candidates, while Family contract offered for married candidates.
Generous Tax free basic salary. Offered according to experience. From 11 400 - 21 000 QAR per month. 21 000 QAR is equal to /- 3400 GBP/ 5200 EUR / 5800 USD / 84 000 South-African Rand.
Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children (ages 5- 18) per child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.
40 days paid annual vacation days.
End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
Minimum: BSc science
Preferred: ASCP (American society of clinical pathologist) - Masters.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum: 10 years licensed experience. Preferred:15 years licensed experience.
LICENSE: Valid Primary License from the country of origin if applicable AND should be eligible for license in the State of Qatar within the Supreme Council of Health”.
Job Specification
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, or their designee, the Senior Laboratory technical Technologist is responsible for conducting the day to day testing within the section or a specified subsection; including but not limited to- Assisting the section Technical Supervisor in performing his/her duties. - Participation in training and orientation of technical staff.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Coordinates, provides leadership for, and performs with proficiency the technical and related work for the section.
2. Performs special studies with direction from Supervisory staff.
3. Assumes responsibility for a subsection as assigned.
4. Acts in a supervisory capacity when required.
5. Provides necessary coaching, mentoring to junior staff within the section.
6. Analyze patient samples in the laboratory or where needed, following standard procedures as outlined in the departmental policies and procedures
7. Organize daily workload and prioritize patient samples
8. Identify abnormal and/or critical conditions and values and take appropriate actions per standards and policies
9. Perform and verify QC and proficiency Samples
10. Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, trouble-shooting, and documentation for the various test procedures and analyzers
11. Maintain appropriate use and inventories of the departmental supplies
12. Demonstrate necessary computer skills
13. Demonstrate flexibility to assignments, varied hours, shifts, and overtime coverage as deemed necessary by the supervisor
14. Assists in training new personnel and supervision as needed.
15. Observes all required hospital, departmental, and sectional policies, procedures, standards and regulations
16. Supports the hospital goals and objectives while looking towards improving its performance
17. Interacts effectively and professionally with peers, the public, patients, physicians, and staff
18. Performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor, or their designee
