An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Backend Developer to form part of the dynamic IT department of a global independent financial consultancy.
They are looking for motivated individuals who are ready to lead custom web development throughout the entire project lifecycle. The Backend developer will work closely with development team, team leaders and head of web strategy & software development to fulfil the following responsibilities:
Developing web applications and code structures to solve specific tasks
Developing innovative web applications and tools for better efficiency
Assisting and supporting in the upkeep and maintenance of Web Applications
Proposing software programs that are compatible to the future technologies
Fixing, troubleshooting and solving bugs and issues
Planning and delivering software applications / platforms used across the business
Communicating any progress or delays with efficiency and accuracy

Solid Understanding of Web application development process
Strong understanding of UI and cross-browser compatibility
Programming skills using .Net Framework, Visual Studio, SQL, JavaScript, JQuery, ASP.net, ADO.net, C#.net, MVC and Entity Framework
Knowledge on building REST APIs and producing/consuming Web Services
Knowledge of Solid Principles
Motivated and pro-active
Strong communication and writing skills
Strong understanding of UI and cross-browser compatibility
