Financial Controller
Pandaw are seeking an experienced bright and energetic FC for their Saigon headquarters who is up for regional travel and a good team builder and a strong eye to cost control.
The candidate would ideally have experience in the shipping, travel or hospitality sectors though none are pre-requisite. A multi-tasking all-rounder with general experience of business in Asia would be acceptable, assuming the candidate exhibited the necessary drive, energy and understanding of often complex legal and jurisdictional arrangements. There would be regular regional travel required visiting country offices.
As FC a key initial part of the role would be to reorganise our finances team, making new or additional appointments where necessary in order to improve the efficiency of payments, book keeping, budgeting, and monthly management account reports in readiness for annual external audit. In addition, the FC would work with our external accountants in the countries we operate in to ensure full compliance with local taxes and the regulatory regime in these countries.
Family owned, Pandaw has with seventeen vessels across six countries and is the largest river cruise operator in South-East Asia with over 300 employees and carrying nearly 10,000 high end passengers a year. The main administrative office is in Saigon, Vietnam, which houses accounting, operations and reservations controls.
Location: Saigon, Vietnam
Basis: full time one year contract renewable
Salary: depending on age and experience.
