CAD Technician

The Challenge:
Exp Federal is currently searching for a CAD Technician for an OCONUS contract in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
Principle Areas of Responsibility
- Proficient in converting engineer’s markups into working CAD drawings
- Proficient with all areas of AutoCAD and Revit including drafting, plotting, etc
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations with Trace or HAP
- Draw hydronic piping and size appropriately
- Draw equipment symbols or show actual size with clearances on drawings
- Prepare schedule and detail drawings and enter equipment specifications
- Understand, layout, and size the fundamental plumbing systems: storm, sanitary, vent, water, and gas.
- Select and coordinate the plumbing fixture schedule with client. This includes having the understanding of all of the components needed for each fixture.
- Understand the scope of SD, DD, CD level documents and be able to prepare and deliver drawings at the appropriate level
- Draw Ductwork size & Layout
- Ability to manage and deliver revisions (ASI’s, etc) and sketches according to proper numbering convention
- Compile, organize, and edit survey/inspection reports.
- Prepare deliverables for submission to the client
- Oversee document management for the team.
- The Skills and Abilities You Bring:
- Experience with Auto CAD and/or REVIT
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong communication skills to allow collaboration engineers and designers on projects
- Strong attention to detail skills ensuring drawings are done accurately to specifications
