The Pullman Sydney Olympic Park are currently seeking an Assistant Night Manager to join their vibrant Front Office team.
Located in the Heart of the Sydney Olympic Park precinct, this position offers you the opportunity to work in a unique hotel property. This is an excellent chance to combine Front Office supervisory responsibilities whilst gaining an insight into the processing of the property's revenues.
In this role you will report directly to the Front Office Manager / Night Manager.
Tasks and responsibilities for the following position will consist of, but are not limited to the following:
- Hold responsibility and accountability for the efficient operation of the hotel while the Night Manager is not on duty during the hours of 11.00pm and 7.30am
- Cross check and balance work completed during the day for all outlets on a shift
- Prepare reports to reflect the trading result of the property on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Take and prepare room service orders, deliver newspapers etc
- Effectively handle guest complaints
- Ensure house security to include fire prevention and protection, health, safety and staff checks, detection of breaches of security and the laws by which the company is governed.
- Maintain responsibility for the overall auditing and administration function of the Night Audit team
- Ensure all relevant reports as required by Management are completed accurately.
- Handle disruptive guests and ensure their discreet removal from the property if needed
- Responsible for all other departments in the absence of their respective managers for the duration of the night time operation
- Be available at all times for guest queries
- Ensure the hotel is operating efficiently and according to hotel policy
- Participate in workplace consultation on matters pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety, as per the hotels agreed arrangements
The successful applicant must possess:

- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- High level of computer literacy Excel and Opera experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous hotel experience in Front Office
