Jobs at this level are responsible for managing the execution of security services at the districts level, in compliance with established policies and service level agreements (SLAs). They are also responsible for supervising the operations of security and ID teams at the district level as well as supervising the respective occupational safety and health tasks at STC.
Key Responsibilities
Security:
Manage day to day security operations at the districts level in compliance with established policies, procedures and SLAs.
Contribute in managing contracts with external vendors for work orders, change orders & provide input on contractor quality of work regarding supply of security & ID related material.
Ensure necessary processes are implemented W.R.T. employee and property protection, building access, parking enforcement, visitor control and employee identification.
Supervise routine management of site security contracts at the district level.
Supervise operation of the district security control room that handles both physical and remote security.
Analyse potential security liabilities/opportunities at the district level and reports them to seniors for necessary action.
Collect security data from operational security staff and verifies its accuracy for subsequent analysis and reporting.
Liaise internally within STC in order to understand internal security operational requirements and ensures adherence for assigned district.
Ensure efficient and cost optimal security service delivery at the district level.
Ensure controlled and accurate disbursal of security ID cards across the district levels.
Ensure smooth functioning of security systems at the districts level.
Safety:
Receive various incident reports from all sectors and review the incidents and records of matching insurance requirements.
Follow-up with Insurance in Finance after documenting incidents and collecting data from records of government departments (civil defense, police) to ensure insurance claims are paid.
Ensure review of safety tools (firefighting measures and evacuation plans) to ensure the readiness of STC locations according to international standards.
Study and review the causes of accidents and develop solutions to prevent and reduce the recurrence with the relevant authorities within the company.
Promote awareness and knowledge on security and occupational safety and health through workshops and trainings.
Anticipate and minimizes possible problems through proactive escalation of issues to senior management.
Work with Building & Fleet Management and support in enhancing of the Building’s safety conditions.
Supervise inspection of STC premises and equipment to ensure compliance to the recommended safety norms at STC and escalates areas of concern, if any.
Generic Role:
Implement changes in security and safety policies and procedures and ensures adherence across the district level.
Coordinate across a number of work units within the specified area of work, to ensure efficient work flows and accurate outputs.
Manage projects and initiatives, as may be required by the reporting senior.
Collate and reports related instances and issues at the district level, as necessary, to the district management.
Stay abreast of latest trends in safety and automated security and suggest new systems.
Develop and supervise the respective team members, if needed, for undertaking higher responsibilities
Qualifications/
Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
Certificate in Safety & Security is preferred
Required
Experience
6 - 7 years of relevant experience at technology/telecommunication industry
