Position Purpose :

1. Manage availability of critical materials and services for the Port
2. Manage the turnaround time of purchases for the Port
3. Management of inventory to ensure stock availability at all times
4. Compile procurement plans, initiatives and tactics
5.Implement and manage procurement cost savings initiatives as pert TNPA Plan
6. Seek business solutions to improve processes and procedures- continuous improvement
7. Manage day to day purchase and ensure that repetitive purchase are placed onto contracts (tactical buying)
8. Maintain a competitive business culture by ensuring that all purchases are done in the most cost efficient and effective
manner
9. Management of goods receive ensuring compliance to P2P
10. Manage and facilitate all submissions to the PAC and DAC
11.Prepare and conduct training and awareness programmes relating to policies, regulations. Laws and procurement
