Description
Private, comprehensive K-12 bilingual school in the South Central coastal resort city of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa province, is seeking two (2) creative and experienced native speakers to EFL Phonics and language of Life Science to four (4) sections of Grade 1 or three (3) sections of Grade 2. The foreign teacher will be assigned a Teaching Assistant and will be part of a 4-teacher team of English language instructors. Class periods are 35 minutes each, held mornings or afternoons, 4 days per week. School year begins the first full week of August and ends in late May.
An excellent opportunity for a current or newly-arrived expat resident of Nha Trang, who is an experienced classroom teacher or, one on sabbatical leave from a US, Canadian or Western school who would like to share his/her expertise with Vietnamese children, but also wants time to pursue professional, artistic, cultural, travel, recreational or other personal interests. As classes take place during daytime hours, this Part-Time position may also appeal to a teacher who already teaches with a local language school program for children.
Teacher candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree, TEFL/TESOL Certificate, two or more years of successful experience with young learners and be eligible for a Vietnam Work Permit. • Basic computer skills including PowerPoint production; facility in accessing/utilizing internet resources for young learners
• Based on curriculum objectives, the teacher is expected to design and implement a variety of speaking activities and lessons which maximize individual student participation during the 35 minute class period.
