3 Year contract (renewable)
Single and family contracts available.
Generous Tax free basic salary. From 10300 QAR up to 18000 QAR per month. 18000 QAR = /- 67000 South-African Rand / 5000 USD/ 4400 EUR/ 3800 GBP. Note -salary paid in QAR - Qatari Riyals.
Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
40 days paid annual vacation days.
End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Position Summary
To provide supervision and support to Speech and Language Therapists working in inpatient care areas in. To comply with the standards and priorities laid down by the Speech and Language Therapy Manager, including the policies. To assume delegated responsibility for clinical leadership and line management of Speech and Language therapists working with inpatients.
Principal Accountabilities
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of the hospital mission, vision and values.
- Support other speech therapists in the unit overseeing the organization of the caseloads within hospital community settings (if applicable), identifying shortfalls and issues to be addressed.
- Supervises other speech and language therapists working in the same care area (inpatient), including participating in appraisal and setting objectives for individual staff.
- Distributes cases among speech therapists and assistants to achieve effective management of time according to the overall needs of inpatients. - Maintains productivity charts of all speech therapists and assistant speech therapists.
- Develops and provides speech and language therapy services consisting of assessment, diagnosis and treatment to children and adults with communication disorders in the in the inpatient care area.
- Monitors and reviews the progress of clients with other speech therapists against the targets set and agreed and to modify targets as appropriate.
- Ensures that multidisciplinary approach of rehabilitation is followed in acute and long-term cases that required active collaboration with other units of the Department of Physical Medicine and rehabilitation.
- Plans a program of induction (orientation) for new members of the team.
- Responds to patients and family complaints and concerns.
- Complies with hospital policies and procedures; and in particular infection control, quality management.
- Performs other duties as requested.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: The applicant must have a valid professional license to practice, or registration (where applicable) from home country and/or country of last employment. Must have Good standing status.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent in English - Oral and Written.
