Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Document Control Manager for the Clean Fuels Project in Kuwait.
Develop and maintain effective working practices for the Amec Foster Wheeler project management contractor (PMC) teams and the KNPC teams that will take delivery of the hard copy and electronic datasets generated by the EPC Contractors- Provide a focal point within the PMC team in Kuwait for the coordination and control of the hard copy and electronic data transfer tasks to be undertaken by each of the EPC contractors
- Assist the PMT with the implementation of the site office based Smart Plant systems and the import of the EPC supplied datasets as provided by the PMC Smart Plant audit team
- Assist the PMT team with the development and implementation of system management practices to govern the day - to - day operation of the Smart Plant systems located on the site office network
- Implement the development programme for the configuration of the project mandated Smart Plant applications installed on the KNPC project management team (PMT) network to align with overall project standards and specifications
- Execute the application specific technical audits for the SPPID, SPI, SPEL and SP3D systems for each of the four EPC contracts, namely, MAA, MAB1, MAB2 and FCC
- Assist individual PMC discipline teams in the development of work processes and procedures to automate the delivery of EPC contractor electronic deliverables to facilitate the re - use of these datasets by KNPC within their plant operational systems
- Contribute to PMT’s development of operational procedures to govern the continued use of the Smart Plant engineering applications on the PMT network through to project completion
- Evaluate the overall project’s technical data management processes and procedures and make recommendations as regards the effective transfer of hard copy and electronic information and the implementation of quality assurance processes
- Liaise with the relevant PMC discipline teams and coordinate their activities as regards the collection and handover of both the hard copy and electronic final datasets to be provided by the EPC contractors to PMT for transmission to the KNPC refinery teams
- Coordinate with the PMC teams to develop and maintain reporting statistics in relation to the submissions and approval of the Maximo datasets as supplied by the EPC contractors
- Develop and publish options for the long term maintenance of the technical information and deliverables generated and handed - over by the project to the refinery management team
Skills / Qualifications
- Graduate of BSc Engineering Degree
- 20 years of industrial experience and at least 5 years in similar role
- With experience in PMC / EPC organizations in the field of refinery / petrochemical industries handling major projects of value not less than US$500 million each
