- Responsible for review and resolution of problems/discrepancies of all contract actions and claims to ensure conformity with Client's policies and procedures and Kingdom tendering regulations.
- Provides senior level advise to Legal Affairs and the Client on contractual interpretations and policy.
- Prepare or provides legal advice to those preparing defense of claims, disputes and bid protests.
- Prepares responses to the General Bureau of Supervision as well as assistance in drafting contractual responses to Ministry of Finance procurement questions.
- Reports to Director Legal Affairs. Interfaces with all levels of Client, Company and Contractor Personnel.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review all claims, court cases for the client and prepare court notices and memorandum.
- Reviews all proposed pre-award contract to ensure conformity with Client's policies.
- Provides expert advice to Legal Affairs Department on claims and contractual interpretations.
- Provides analysis and critiques of proposed changes to Client's contracting policies.
- As directed prepares, or participates in preparation of, Client's responses to Contractor claims, disputes and bid protests.
- Provides assistance to the Director, Legal Affairs in review of submittals for Contract Termination and Procurement.
- Provides policy interpretation to all Contract Administrators.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Candidates should have twelve (12) years of experience in the procurement field with extensive experience in the review of contract actions for conformance with policy, laws, and regulations.
- Must have (10) years' experience in working with Saudi Arabian Government Procurement Law as well as preparing responses to GBS and the Ministry of Finance.
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English and Arabic.
- Must possess a Bachelors' Degree in Law from a recognized university.
