Since July 2012, Clariant has been operating a pre-commercial plant in Straubing, producing up to 1,000 metric tons of cellulosic ethanol from around 4,500 metric tons of raw materials every year while improving and optimizing the process during that time. As a next step, Clariant is currently realizing a first-of-its-kind plant for the production cellulosic ethanol in Southern Romania - Craiova. The whole sunliquid(R) process chain will be covered, therefore combining mechanical, thermal and biotechnological process steps in an integrated innovative setup. This plant will be the first in the world producing cellulosic ethanol using sunliquid(R) technology.
As the Country HR Manager (f/m/d), you will be responsible for the definition and implementation of the HR country rules & regulations, guidelines, initiatives und projects at country level in line with legal, contractual and company regulations. You will be in charge for directing internal and external parties executing HR processes (e.g. payroll). Act as a central contact person for advice for Line Managers and employee in all personnel related questions/matters. Take on the opportunity to be the main contact for employee representatives on site and country level.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible to implement all required HR Services according to legal and Clariant HR regulations.
- Responsible to identify and select external providers for process delivery support (e.g. payroll, recruiting).
- Responsible for accurate and timely delivery of HR Services according to legal and Clariant HR regulations.
- Ensure continuous improvement and optimization of implemented HR processes.
- Manage and ensure adherence of operational HR cost budget and define counter measures if necessary.
- Manage alignment with Regional and Global HR functions (e.g. Center of Expertise).
- Advice the line mgmt regarding recruiting, development, succession planning, performance mgmt, compensation.
- Advice the line management regarding structural and personnel related measures (e.g. terminations) in line with legal and Clariant guidelines; ensure communication between involved internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure implementation of the defined measures and activities in all personnel related affairs.
- Provide advice and resolution in conflicts between line management and employees.
- Represent HR function in local management meetings and towards external institutions.
- Maintain trustful relationship with local representative bodies; ensure participation in relevant questions.
- Mandate a lawyer for court preceedings, attend in law suits and conciliation hearings.
- Negotiate and conclude local company agreements according to global/regional Clariant guidelines and policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of HR operational experience within the manufacturing / production industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of romanian labour law.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience with ability to motivate and interact at all levels.
- Ability to drive improvement and to deal with uncertainty.
- Excellent intercultural and interpersonal skills with strong stakeholder management ability.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to act in a highly complex enviroment.
- Native / very good Romanian and English Language skills.
